demo profile · Novena (she/her) is a London-based artist whose music lives at the intersection of R&B and club culture. Born in East London to Ghanaian parents, she began writing songs in her teens, eventually developing a live show that pairs a laptop with a live drummer — a format she describes as "dancefloor songs you could also cry to." Her debut EP, *Iron & Gold* (2024), was described by Pitchfork as "torch songs built for 3am" and drew comparisons to Kelela and Tirzah while sounding entirely its own. She has played a run of London club nights and supported several high-profile UK acts on their European tours. Novena is currently working on her debut LP, expected in late 2025.
