Talamaya

demo profile · Talamaya is a four-piece band from Bushwick, Brooklyn, forging a sound that connects traditional Colombian cumbia with the deep bass weight of dub and the freewheeling spirit of psychedelic rock. They met at a DIY warehouse show in 2022 and never quite stopped playing. The band self-produced their debut LP *Agua Fría* (2025), recording it in a converted storage unit over two winters. Their live show is known for extended instrumental passages, audience participation, and an all-ages ethos rooted in the DIY scene that raised them. Talamaya performs regularly at venues in Brooklyn and NYC, and is currently booking a national US tour for fall 2025. All booking enquiries welcome.
